“Urban Construction Design Cup” Staff Swimming Competition Embraces a Happy Ending

Held at Yingdong swimming pool on August 15 and sponsored by the trade union of Beijing Urban Construction Design & Development Group, the “Urban Construction Design Cup” Staff Swimming Competition, on the principle of “Unity, Harmony, Health and Endeavor” and following the concept of “For Healthy Work, For Happy Life”, was well planned and carefully prepared by the Group wholeheartedly and aimed to be fantastic. Mi Jianzhou, chairman of trade union, chaired the opening and closing & award ceremonies.

One hundred and seven players from 26 bodies of the Group participated in this competition. There were 9 events, including individual and team events. Eight players challenged themselves by participating in all 9 events. Efforts nurtures success. Our players finally won 2 championships, 4 runner-up titles and 3 second runner-up titles, with total competition scores ranking second. Xu Rongming, member of Standing Committee of Party Committee and chairman of trade union, was present at the competition and awarded medals, trophies and prizes to players and organizations.

President Wang Hanjun, when addressing the closing ceremony, said this competition featured high level, special style and genuine friendship, enhanced the communication between associated organizations and fully displayed the energetic and promising, enterprising and struggling spirit of our staff, and their advancement with times, pioneering and innovation.

The staff swimming competition not only responds to the call of government, but also encourages the nationwide fitness campaign, improves the staffs’ health and enriches their culture and sports life. To celebrate its successful listing in Hong Kong, the Group held the “Urban Construction Design Cup” Swimming Competition, which, a high-level competition and fantastic visual feast as it is, fully highlighted the spirit of unity and struggling and courage for success and reflected the times feature of excellence pursuit and innovation exploration.
