Design and Consulting Committee of China Association of Metros

Beijing Urban Construction Design & Development Group Co., Limited is a sponsored and supporting organization of the Design and Consulting Committee (DCC) of China Association of Metros (CAM). Growing out of an engineering consulting committee, the DCC was established on Dec.3, 2012 with the approval by the Ministry of Civil Affairs. With improving the development level of China’s urban rail transit planning and design and whole-process engineering consulting as its mission and facilitating the sustainable and sound development of the urban rail transit industry as its tenet, and in the light of CAM’s guideline of “observing laws and regulations, strengthening self-discipline, acting as a bridge linking, serving governments and enterprises sincerely and promoting scientific development”, the DCC abides by state laws, regulations and policies, serves China’s significant development strategies, organizes technical exchange, consulting and research work in the field of urban rail transit design and consulting. It reflects industrial situations and aspirations and requirements of the member units, safeguards the legitimate rights and interests of the industry and enterprises, spares no effort to offer services for member units, and promotes the sound development of the urban rail transit design and consulting in China. DCC’s scope of business includes investigation and research, standard formulation, policy propaganda and implementation, achievements identification, training, technology promotion, consulting service, etc.

Rail Transit Branch of China Civil Engineering Society

Beijing Urban Construction Design & Development Group Co., Limited is a supporting organization of the Rail Transit Branch of China Civil Engineering Society (CCES). As a branch of CCES on the national level, the Rail Transit Branch was established in 1979. Scrutinized and approved by the Ministry of Civil Affairs on May 21, 2010 and based on the status of a metro committee, the “Urban Rail Transit Technology Work Committee” was founded and was renamed the Rail Transit Branch of CCES on Feb.1, 2017. The branch society bends itself to the construction of China’s urban rail transit technical exchange platforms, guides technological development and innovation in the rail transit field and forms bonds amongst all walks of life linking governments, planning and design units, construction units, operation units, construction units, scientific research institutions, universities and colleges, and equipment manufacturers. It takes boosting technical progress, popularization and development of China’s urban rail transit planning, design, construction and operation as its goal and tenet of action.  

Professional Committee of Urban Rail Transit Energy Conservation of China Energy Conservation Association

Beijing Urban Construction Design & Development Group Co., Limited is a supporting organization of the Professional Committee of Urban Rail Transit Energy Conservation of China Energy Conservation Association. Established in 2017, the Professional Committee takes bringing its role of a bridge linking as its mission, and sets up exchange and innovated technology application and popularization platforms for governments and enterprises. With rail transit energy conservation, carbon reduction and green development as its guiding ideology, rail transit green construction and energy-conservation and low-carbon operation as its orientation, rail transit energy conservation concept as its guide, key energy conservation technology application as its support and energy-conservation and low-carbon projects as an effective means, the Professional Committee rallies urban rail transit construction and operation enterprises, design units, scientific research institutions, experts and scholars committed to urban rail transit energy conservation and innovation and green development to actively carry out investigation and research, standard formulation, scientific research and innovation, technical exchange, demonstration and popularization in the rail transit energy conservation field, properly guides the direction for rail transit energy conservation and green development, promotes urban rail transit energy conservation technology innovation, popularization and application, and boosts the low-carbon development and green transformation of the urban rail transit industry in China. 

Rail Transit Branch of CECA

Launched by the Rail Transit Branch of China Engineering & Consulting Association (CECA), Beijing Urban Construction Design & Development Group Co., Limited (UCD) serves as the branch’s supporting organization. Established on Oct. 20, 2023, the rail transit branch is aimed at earnestly performing CECA’s functions of “providing services, reporting concerns and standardizing acts”, carry out investigation and research in a deep-going way for the development of the industry, give full play to the leading role of survey and design in rail transit construction and development, and pool strength of all sides of the industry to impel the high-quality, sustainable and sound development of the rail transit industry. Rail Transit Branch of CECA’s scope of business mainly include: to conduct subject study and investigation to provide competent departments with policy-making consulting opinions and suggestions; to report concerns to competent departments through research and analysis, and offer technical support and information service to its member units; to organize the compilation of group standards that satisfy the needs of the rail transit market and for innovative development and to actively push ahead the construction of the industry standardization; to set up platforms for industry exchange, to facilitate technical progress of the industry and to improve the core competitiveness of the industry; to assist CECA to organize relevant recommendation and appraisal of excellent work; to assist CECA to do good research on the annual development of the engineering and consulting industry and to offer support for rail transit enterprises to formulate development strategies; to facilitate the construction of the integrity system of the rail transit industry, to step up industry self-discipline and to maintain market order; to conduct industry publicity, to fulfill social responsibilities and to heighten the social influence of the industry.  

Urban Rapid Rail Transit

Beijing Urban Construction Design & Development Group Co., Limited and Beijing Jiaotong University have co-sponsored the journal of Urban Rapid Rail Transit in both Chinese and English versions. The aim of publication is to give publicity to national urban rail transit guidelines and policies, introduce experiences from urban rail construction at home and abroad and in operational processes, makes real-time reports on the latest scientific and technological achievements and important technical information from home and abroad, and promote academic discussion and technical exchange in the same industry to boost the development of the urban rail transit industry in China. Urban Rapid Rail Transit ranks among “China’s core science and technology journals”, “Chinese core journals” and “RCCSE core academic journals of China”, and has been included in more than ten databases such as “Wanfang Database”, “CNKI Database” and Britain’s Science Abstracts. In 2020, Urban Rapid Rail Transit was selected into the contents of T2 high-quality railroad transportation journals (internationally renowned journals of high level) organized by China Association for Science and Technology. With a steady number of professional readers, high-level authors, academic background with strong strength and a professional and rigorous team of editors, Urban Rapid Rail Transit applies itself to guiding the development of China’s rail transit industry.
