“Swinging red maple, flamboyant youth” outreach in Xishan
Autumn is the most beautiful season in Beijing. The forests are tinged. The air teems with the fragrance of melons and fruits. Strolling amidst red, orange, yellow and green always gives you a feeling of romantics and relaxation. On October 25, 2014, “Swinging red maple, flamboyant youth” outreach of Beijing Urban Construction Design & Development Group was kicked off in Xishan Forest Park on schedule.
In order to enhance communication among young employees, deepen mutual understanding among internal employees of the company and promote the development of teamwork culture, the Trade Union of Beijing Urban Construction Design & Development Group organized this activity on Saturday under the vigorous assistance of the trade unions of other organizations after careful planning and preparation. Ni Jianzhou, the Deputy Party Secretary, Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission and Chairman of the Trade Union of the company led the team and took part in the activity throughout the process. He hoped all the participants could release passion and harvest friendship and love! He Yingxin, the Director of the Work Department of the Party Committee of the company was invited to this activity.
“Swinging red maple, flamboyant youth”---Golden autumn bursts forth vitality of youth. 32 young people started a joyful journey of the day in laughter and cheers. This activity was carried out in form of teamwork and mainly includes two links. One is team activity and the other is collective activity. On the way to the beautiful Xishan Forest Park, they introduced to each other. After getting off the bus, they quickly formed five teams, elected team leaders, named the teams and drew team flags. Five passionate teams including “Little Yellow Duck Team, Blue Sky Team, Large Western Hill Team, Green Apple Team and Little Tiger Team” were established. After they arrived at “Forest Stage”, the five teams started mountain climbing according to the requirements of the activity. They were required to get to at least three scenic spots. After 3 hours’ concerted effort, Blue Sky Team first returned to the departure point, followed by Little Tiger Team, Green Apple Team, Little Yellow Duck Team and Large Western Hill Team. After the lunch, the accompanying trade union chairmen formed a judge panel and started appraisal. After careful, democratic and heated discussion, “Blue Sky Team” won the prize of the most cooperative team and “Green Apple Team” won the prize of the most creative team. The follow-up personal “charm exhibition” brought joy and charm to them. Those who didn’t sing well might write poems. Those who couldn’t write poems might attended chorus. They fully demonstrated their charms and talents and actively attended the games and performance programs. Cheers were nonstop. The site was overflowed with joy and youthfulness. After team activity, collective “happy jump” and “dash forward together” aroused new tides. The activity created opportunities of communication and exchange for the people and tested their rapport and cooperation. Maybe we don’t sing well and maybe we don’t dance well, but most importantly, we get to know each other! In the team activity and collective activity, they established initial friendship, exchanged contact ways and formed their micro-letter group. We believe that after this activity, these young people will get closer to each other in the future.
This “Swinging red maple, flamboyant youth” outreach activity is one of the series youth social gathering activities planned by the trade union of the company for this year. This July, the trade union of the company organized more than 140 people from 7 organizations to attend “vibrant youth” social gathering. We believe these activities can promote exchange and association of young people, release their passion and make them work and live with greater enthusiasm.
